This ointment is prepared with my own Calendula petals infused into organic cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. Calendula is a truly remarkable herb. It soothes inflammation, helps skin heal quickly (Calendula is believed to increase collagen metabolism) and fights bacteria. Calendula has traditionally been used externally on slow to heal wounds, cuts, burns, bruises and ulcerations. It is also useful for bug bites, sunburn, diaper rash, stretch marks, varicose veins and oily greasy skin. One caution: while calendula can help prevent an infection from occurring, do not use this ointment where an infection already exists. The herb works so quickly it can heal a wound right over a pre-existing infection.
Ingredients: Calendula blossoms infused into organic extra virgin olive oil, beeswax and organic palmarosa essential oil.
